ART SOIREE - PALME D'OR ROOFTOP SOIREE

Thursday, May 12th Art Soiree along with 450 attendees celebrated the opening of the 64th Annual Film Festival in Cannes by bringing the glamor of the French Riviera to DC. Cannes Film Festival, founded in 1946, is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious film festivals, held annually in the resort town of Cannes, in the south of France. Ever since its creation, it has remained faithful to its founding purpose: to draw attention to and raise the profile of films with the aim of contributing towards the development of cinema, boosting the film industry worldwide and celebrating cinema at an international level.

Additionally the evening marked the launch of ART CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE, a non-profit reality series project by Art Soiree Co., where artistic skills are used to make a change and get attention for the cause, while creating something new. This spring Art Soiree Co. joined Gaston Boisson in helping raise funds for blood cancer research while supporting his candidacy for the National Capital Area Chapter’s Man & Woman of the Year campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Art Soiree was able to raise $3100 towards the campaign.

DJ FOtiFO, accompanied by live piano and saxophone performances of DUBLIN, played French Pop tunes throughout the night. Stunning melodies, hypnotizing vocals, and versatile music genres are perfect signature sounds of this incredible local duo. FOtiFO played in the most respected and in-demand clubs of Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia, while Dublin had the opportunity to meet and perform for a number of world known musicians such as Wynton Marsalis, Diana Krall, and Gregory Hines.

The evening  featured special guest performance by famous drummer RENATO SBARRO.
